Camping world is a joke! We’re suing them for Punitive damages

July 7, 2021 - 1st call - took name number down

July 9, 221 - Kayla said everyone was busy but would have someone call me back 9:39am (no one did)

July 13, 2021 - 2nd call - spoke to service Dept lady, she said she had to ask sales lady up front about this and would call back same day, (no call back)

July 22, 2021 - 3rd call - spoke with Kayla up front, left name / number said she would have service call me back, (no call back)

August 3, 2021 - 4th call - spoke with Kayla up front, told her I left my name and number with her on the 22nd of last month with no call back. Still no call back and left name and number again. (No call back)

August 4, 2021 - sent email to Jonathan/Terry Reno about warranty work. Jon called me at 4:30 and said he didn’t have an answer yet but would let me know by end of day. Also spoke about transferring all work being done to Lake Park, GA location instead of Byron, GA. (No call back)

August 24, 2021 - sent follow up email to Jonathan, Terry Reno, Jeanie Odum, Austin Lilly and Shawna Savage. No response.. Donna (receptionist) confirmed she sent emails to all the people above to have them call me. No one did

August 24, 2021 - Called corporate office and filed complaint on Byron location. Open case number: 3022993

August 27, 2021 - spoke to Danna up front. She transferred me to service. Waited on hold for 11 minutes before Jeanie picked up, asked me to let her call me right back so she could go up front to her computer to pull up this account. I said yes as long as you promise to call me back she said less than 10 minutes as I was on my lunch break (11:37am)

Jeanie called back, said she couldn’t find my name in the system. (Also told her the 6 emails I sent her clearly said Mattison Higginbotham on it) She said I need to speak with Paul.

Called main receptionist (Danna) and asked to speak to Paul. At this point she knows who I am and is a Gate keeper not going to let me talk to Paul.

I left my name number and had her repeat it back to me and she said “she promised she would have him call me” (11:50am)

Paul called me from corporate office. Said they were going to pull parts off a camper in stock and ship them to lake park ga for install. (12:15pm) said he would call back in a couple hours to confirm. He called back around 4pm and said they would have it all to lake park no later than Saturday. This location is 3.5 hours from us.

August 30, 2021 - spoke with Meghan in service. Asked for an update she said Shawna told her “everything has not been pulled yet but it should ship this week”

I told her Paul told me on Friday that everything was going to ship that day or either Saturday pickup! I told Meghan to make sure Shawna calls me with an update the minute it ships per Paul’s instructions. I was told I was being pushed to top priority due to the local staff completely ignoring my request for over 8 weeks. I guess that was another lie by this location.

August 30, 2021 - Paul called me back, said he was going to check with Shawna on an update as I told him he told me last week this stuff would ship out by Saturday at latest and it’s now Monday and still not going to be there. We are suppose leave next week for our trip

September 3, 2021 - called Byron location to see where items were, Megan said they have not shipped out yet but they plan for them to leave today. 9:45am

September 9, 2021 - spoke to service manager, said they have not received my microwave and door handle as stated by the Byron location. Going to call to find out where it is. Said they know nothing about this and Byron location never called them for transfer of work so now I am 2 weeks out on install.

September 9, 2021 - called Ms. Merideth at corporate office to let her know that nothing has been done since we spoke last. I asked her if I needed to seek legal help at this time due to this issue. She could not advise but s said someone would call me back TODAY. 11:16 am

September 9, 2021 - Megan in Byron service called and said she can confirm that microwave and door handle was sent.

September 9, 2021 - Jarrett service manager in lake park said he found the box but they only shipped the glass plate that goes inside the microwave not even the microwave or anything to help me work the broken microwave!!! 11:30am

September 9, 2021 - 11:50 am spoke to sales manager in Byron and service manager and said they pulling microwave now and will have It ready. I’m Now driving 3.5 hours to go get it. Then have to drive it to lake park where my camper is to let them install it.

All in all this set me back about $250 in gas and another $500 in time off from work for a total of $750 out of pocket expenses to get this taken care of on JUST THE 9th. This doesn’t even account for other 12+ days I’ve spent time trying to get this resolved.

Camping world is a joke! We’re suing them for Punitive damages (mostly wages lost by not having our camper to travel out of to see clients)
