I think I smell a rat

We sold are 2021 RV to Camping World in Wausau, WI on July 7 2022. They paid off our loan and we were supposed to get the balance left over from the payoff in a check from them. That's been over a month ago, haven't been payed yet. They keep saying that the hold up is with the state. I checked the DMV and there is a new lean on the RV from another bank. The info from the DMV says that the title has been delivered to the lean holder. So have they sold the RV without paying off first. I think I smell a rat.
